Just a quick update and some pictures for everyone. It’s way too easy to update my facebook page with pictures directly from iPhoto then to post them here on the website. So…. Below are the public links to them.
Brendan’s vocabulary is exploding. We also now have to watch what we say around him because he hears all and repeats most of it. Lately he’s been requesting Bob Marley by name in the car and knows the name of a few songs. “No Whining No Crying”.. aka No Women, No Cry is at the top of his request list. He also likes No Worry (Three Little Birds) and One Lub (One Love).
Patrick is growing like a weed and Claire and I wish we could stop time with him. He has all but given up baby food and wants only real food. It helps now that he has 2 bottom teeth and the top front 2 are just coming in. Last weekend, he took his first steps. He’s officially in the squirming phase where it’s hard to hold, feed, and change his diaper.

Yeap. Toon-Time.com is long over due for updates. It’s been crazy the last couple of months and I’m trying to get around to updating the site. The best way to find out what’s been going on with us is to get Claire or myself on Facebook. We both officially have a Facebook addiction. Here is a brief summary of the past few months…
- Claire Graduated Dental School in May.
- We’ve moved to Middlebury, CT. Claire is doing a 1 yr. Residency here in CT.
- Brendan is going through the terrible 2’s stage and is teaching me a new level of patience that I never thought existed
- Patrick is 10 months old tomorrow and has started standing on his own.
- The loft in Chicago is still for sale….
Hope to get more updates posted soon.
A little update on the littlest Toon. At his last doctor’s appointment Patrick was just shy of 15 pounds and in the 75% for height. Apparently he’s going to be long and lean. He continues to be very laid back- for the most part he’s pretty content to sit back and watch his big brother cause all kinds of havoc. Patrick’s most recent accomplishments include rolling back-to-front-to-back and nearly getting both fists in his mouth simultaneously. He’s pretty comfortable laying on his tummy now as this picture demonstrates, so I guess it won’t be long before he’s crawling…then we’ll really be in trouble!
Again, it’s been awhile since there has been an entry on the site. I have no excuses except for work has been very busy and the 2 boys are keeping us tired. I used to think that we went to sleep early because we couldn’t make it past 10:30 pm. Now, it seems I can’t make it past 10:00 or even 9:30 some nights. Here’s the latest happenings in Chicago.
IT’S FREEZING! Poor Brendan is trapped inside all day at daycare are and at home. We try to get him outside when it’s possible but on days like today (single digit temps) there is no way. We’re lucky if he doesn’t get frost bite just from the house to the car to daycare. We’ve started the process of TRYING to Potty Train. It’s going very very slow. He’s a little young and don’t want to push too hard. From the pictures above, we’re still trying to get him to also read the paper while sitting on the potty and not while we are changing his diaper. B is loving daycare and all his new friends. Pablo is one of his pals from daycare and we must hear his name about 50 times a day on the weekends. Pablo’s Mom also said that she hears Brendan’s name at their house on the weekend but it’s only when Pablo has gotten into trouble and he’s trying to blame it on Brendan. Ha… True friendship. The last bit of B news is that yesterday morning he crawled out of his crib. He has a small shiner to prove it. I guess it’s time to move Patrick into the crib and Brendan into a toddler bed.
Speaking of Patrick. He’s doing great. I think he’s looking more and more like Brendan but Claire thinks not so much. We’re very blessed that he has the same cheerful big smile personality that Brendan has. We’re working on getting him on more of a sleep schedule during the day and going a little longer at night. Right now, he usually wakes up once during the night which is not too bad. He’s rolled over a few times already and is starting to realize that he controls those two things (hands) that flop around in front of him and land in his mouth occasionally.
Claire is busy with school and can’t wait to be done. She truly amazes me everyday that she juggles everything well (being a great Mom, school, and putting up with me) and on limited sleep. The next few months are going to be crazy as we get ready to move back East to be closer to friends and family. New pictures are posted in the photos section and I’m going to try to put up .mov or .avi files of the YouTube videos. I know some can’t view the YouTube stuff because it’s blocked at work. Well, back to work for me. Bye for now.
Here is a response to individuals who have requested updates. There is no excuse for the lack of updates except for laziness. So, I hope you guys enjoy some of these pictures until I can get them up in the photo section. Hope everyone has a great Holiday.

Brendan surprised us tonight by trying to count. I got the video camera and tried to capture some of it. I don’t know how much of it he really understands and how much is just memorizing. Either way, I thought it was pretty cool.
Brendan meets his little brother for the first time.
