WE'RE MARRIED! WE TIED THE KNOT! WE GOT HITCHED!
On Saturday June 7th, 2003, Claire and Greg tied the knot. Everything about the wedding was a perfect (despite the rainy weather)! This was a huge relief after all the sleepless nights that went into making it happen. We were amazed that everything came together so well considering we planned the entire wedding in 5 months and from Chicago. The only thing that didn't cooperate was the weather (something we could not plan) but that did not take anything away from our special day.
The wedding weekend started on Friday with the rehearsal at the Glen Manor House ( http://www.glenmanorhouse.com/ ) where the ceremony and reception would take place on Saturday. The Glen was absolutely beautiful and Katie (event coordinator for the Glen) was great. We don't know how we could have done it without her.
On Saturday afternoon, family and friends started arriving around 3:15. Because of the rain, the ceremony was held inside the Glen in the ballroom instead of outside in the garden. However, this made the ceremony more intimate and personal.
After a beautiful ceremony by Frank Camera, we took our formal wedding pictures on the covered terrace during cocktail hour. And then it was time to celebrate. The food was delicious. Ingrid and her crew at Blue Rocks did an outstanding job with the cuisine. Joe Subin (the DJ) kept things rocking in the ballroom until 10:00 when it was time to go.
When it was all over, the happy couple drove off into the night in the silver bullet. A silver bullet that had been decorated by the wedding party and friends. And they lived happily ever after...
